Our New Accompanist - Adrian Moore
Adrian has been DCS's organist on tour for the last four tours and became their Accompanist in January 2011.
He studied music at Bristol University and the Royal Northern College of
Music in Manchester. He is based in Leamington Spa where he teaches piano and organ at two schools and privately. He is organist of Holy Trinity church in Leamington. In addition to his teaching work Adrian has a busy schedule as a performer, especially as accompanist and continuo-player on piano, organ and harpsichord. He is the regular accompanist for Collegium, the parish choir of St.Mary’s Church in Warwick. He has accompanied choirs in Rochester and Gloucester cathedrals, played continuo in performances of Bach’s St John Passion, Handel’s Alexander’s Feast and Israel in Egypt. and
most recently playing for the Daventry Choral Society on their visit to S’Hertogenbosch in The Netherlands in October 2010.
Adrian recorded as organist for BBC Radio 4 in August 2008 for a wedding from St Andrew’s Church, Rugby. This was the first non-royal wedding that the BBC has broadcast.
Adrian also enjoys choral singing and is a member of two choirs, one of which he also directs and accompanied to sing in St Peter's, at the Vatican last year.
